Special Meeting for Ballot Question Set
The City Council has announced the date for the Special Meeting to discuss the Citizens’ Petition regarding the non-binding question to be placed on the ballot for November 3, 2009.
The meeting is to be held on Thursday, July 30th at 7:oopm in the City Council Chambers.
The non-binding question states:
"Shall the City of Northampton expand the Northampton landfill over the Barnes Aquifer?"
There will be a public comment period and we encourage all who are concerned about the expansion of the Glendale Road landfill to speak on behalf of the question being placed on the ballot.
