City Council Meeting Tonight
The City Council meets tonight to discuss the Citizens' Petition for a Non-Binding PublicOpinion question to be placed on the November ballot. The meeting begins at 7:15 in the City Council Chambers located behind City Hall. We recommend that you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the meeting. You must sign in at the podium to speak to the Council during the public comment period before the meeting begins.
We ask all concerned citizens to come to the City Council meeting to speak out during the public comment period.
We are hoping that the City Council will vote down the ballot question presented by Councilors Michael Bardsley and Marianne LaBarge. We want the City to use the question framed by the voters. We believe that there is enough time prior to the election to present all sides of this issue.
We believe that our ballot question is fair. It is a fact that the Landfill expansion will be placed over the Barnes Aquifer in a Water Supply Protection District.
