City Council Takes No Action
The City Council had a tie vote to determine whether to take our ballot petition off the table. Voting No were Jim Dostal, David Murphy and Bob Reckman. Voting Yes was Michael Bardsley, Marianne LaBarge and David Narkewicz.
In a surprising move, David Narkewicz had a late file to move the Special Permitting Process to the Planning Board. This would effectively put the landfill decision into the hands of a group that were appointed by the mayor, who favors the expansion.
